Rapunzel, Rapunzel let down your hair.

This week we have set up a stage in our classroom. Our focus text is Rapunzel and the children were really keen setting up props and costumes for their story re-enactments. We started with the first scene and children designed and created their own props for the witches garden. This included flowers, a blackberry bush and vegetable garden. The children had to think carefully about the resources they needed and the techniques they could use. Their ability to work as a team was outstanding!

Christmas Craft Cafe

On Friday 30th November 2018 we held a Christmas Craft cafe where families were invited to join us to make crafts to be sold at the Christmas fair. The Tigers and Cubs made bauble sun catchers, stockings, bead wreaths and Christmas tree decorations.  We all worked really hard and made lots of money for our fantastic school.

Malawi Federation Day

We were joined by our friends from Sutton and Hickling on Tuesday for a Federation Day. We learnt all about life in Malawi, including stories, art and craft. We had a really enjoyable day and the sun shone. We were even lucky enough to share a picnic lunch as a Federation.

It's a little bit muddy!!!

Some pictures to make you smile this week on our blog! We are so proud that as a school outdoor learning is at the core at what we do. Our richest and most inspiring learning experiences often come from when we are in our wonderful natural surroundings. It seems that word is getting around about our love of outdoor learning and we even had a visit from Countryfile this week! Watch this space to find out more!
