This week.....

We have had an amazing time this week learning lots about shape. We have made shapes with ourselves, which was tricky (getting our friends to listen sometimes wasn't easy!)
We have used different types of equipment to make shapes and chose our equipment well as you can see.
We used the camera to walk around school ,taking pictures of shapes and patterns we found around our school.
During Forest school with Miss Cushion we managed to light a fire which was great fun, it kept us warm when we got a bit chilly and we made some great observations.,such as "The smoke blows that way because of the wind......"    "You need to use dry wood to make a fire...." "The fire makes a crackle sound if you listen carefully...........

To end the week Mrs Gilbert arranged a special treat for us.....A SHOW! Greg put on a show called Cinderella. We laughed... and laughed ... and LAUGHED!!! Thank you Greg for our brilliant show and thank you to Mrs Gilbert for arranging it for us.

Christmas Craft Cafe

On Friday 30th November 2018 we held a Christmas Craft cafe where families were invited to join us to make crafts to be sold at the Christmas fair. The Tigers and Cubs made bauble sun catchers, stockings, bead wreaths and Christmas tree decorations.  We all worked really hard and made lots of money for our fantastic school.

Marvellous Maths

The children have really been challenging themselves this week, solving different maths problems using a wide range of resources. Some children have developed their division skills through sharing cones between 2 hoops (and even trying to share an odd number). Alongside this another group developed their counting and addition skills, finding out how many in total. Super work Tigers and Cubs!

World Book Day

Today was World Book Day and we celebrated in style. Many of us dressed up as book characters and we looked absolutely fantastic! We joined with our friends in the Lions' Class and completed a carousel of activities based on what the ladybird heard. We drew maps, iced ladybird biscuits and even hunted for ladybirds!
